We have a tadpole!

So, I got to see our little tadpole last night.  Very small and very cute.  Go back in 3 weeks to see heartbeat and all that jazz.  Got all the bloodwork and history out the way.  Reilly will be staying with Nana and Papa tonight so I can pack.  Not only will I get a quiet night, but since Daniel has to work tomorrow - I will have the whole house to myself tomorrow morning.  That is before jetting off to get oil changed and tires rotated before trip and of course Mom and I will have to get our usual mani/pedis before the trip.  Can't wait to be sitting by the beach!  Plus, we will get to use the big sister shirt one more time as I think I will use that tactic with Uncle Tommy and Aunt Vicki.  Lets see if they do better than Nana, Papa, and G.G?!?!?

Oddly enough nervous// Symptoms// and the Facinating Reilly

I have an appointment at 3:30 with Dr. James today.  I don't know why, but I am oddly nervous.  I think it is because I had some very weird pains over the weekend.  Hope the little tadpole is okay since it is so very early.  Daniel has begun the water ritual (i.e., for those that don't know/remember - Daniel packed his lunch pail with water when I got pregnant with Reilly and strictly monitored my water intake as I am not too fond of drinking water).

Symptoms have been worse than the non-existant ones from Reilly.  Somehow it appears that Daniel is taking them over.  I made him a deal last night that if he would AGAIN take the symptoms that I would carry the baby, deliver the baby, and breastfeed the baby.  All in all, I think he still comes out a winner.  He agreed.  Must have worked, because today has been the first non-nauseated day with no other symptoms!  I forgot how good food tastes when you are pregnant.  The simpliest things are extraordinary!

Reilly the funny - this morning when I got her out of the car there was a bunny in Mom and Dad's yard.  When I pointed it out, Reilly got so excited.  She said "bunny rabbit, momma, touch it".  I told her the bunny probably wouldn't let us, but she was insisted.  Of course the bunny ran away when we got close.  "Momma, where?"  I explained to Reilly that the bunny had to go have breakfast.  "O-kay momma."  She then proceeded to let Nana and G.G. promptly know that "Saw rabbit.  Eat.  Cute.  Rabbit cute.  No touch it."  Every single day I am amazed by her.  I know I am biased, but I just love her to pieces.

Okay.  Off to doctor appointment.  Hope to have a due date and all that other good stuff!

Blood Work in

Blood work came in this morning and confirmed what they already saw with the urine test.  All is a go!  Scheduled my appointment with Dr. James for this Thursday.  While we may not even see anything, and certainly will not see a heartbeat yet, we can go ahead and start with the blood work, etc.  Plus, if we do see anything I can tell more people!  Yippee!

Telling Nana, Papa & G.G.

We planned to drop off Reilly so that Daniel and I could go to the movies.  When we got there Nana was at the grocery store and Papa was on the porch (yep, before 11:00 and G.G. still sleeping).  I put on the Big Sister A.K.A. The Diva shirt on Reilly and we waited.  Nana got home.  G.G. woke up.  Nothing.  Nobody said anything.  It took some time, but they all got it and are all very excited.  They all tried to say that they saw the shirt, but didn't know how Reilly's was a big sister.  Duh?!  G.G. made a curse of wishing for twins ~ I reminded her as the caretaker she might not want to wish for 3 Reilly's!

So there we go.  I will be calling to see when I can get in for an ultrasound before telling anyone else.  (Well, Daniel let it slide to his boss and James and I couldn't help it and told a couple of people ~ but that's it untill I can see the little tadpole on the screen!)

How Daddy found out

Well, Daniel had a hard day at work yesterday and while I was planning on waiting to do it at Nagoya, just couldn't wait.  Reilly and I made a similar card that was made when I found out I was pregant with Reilly.  Once Daniel got home I took Reilly into her room (supposedly to change her diaper).  In there I changed her into a "Big Sister, a.k.a. The Diva" shirt.  I sat her down and told her to go give Daddy the card.  She did and it worked perfectly.  A little teary eyed Daddy thought it was too cute to hear Reilly say "sister".

We are planning on telling Nana, Papa, and G.G. about the same way.  We are going to drop off Reilly Sunday so that Daniel and I can go see a movie.  Figure I will just have Reilly wear the shirt going inside and hope they don't take too long to realize it.

We are going to the beach in a couple of weeks and my Uncle Tommy and Aunt Vicki will once again be joining us.  Guess we'll do the same for them!

How fun and exciting!

We're making Reilly a big SISTER

Yep, that's right it is confirmed . . . Reilly is going to be a big sister and so begins our adventure of pregnancy #2!

I thought I might be pregnant and decided to take an early at home test.  It came back positive and instead of having the heartbreak like we did last time, decided to go to the doctor in secret.  They confirmed the pregnancy yesterday afternoon.  I will be making an appointment with Dr. James to get an official due date, etc.  I'll keep you posted.

P.S.  Instead of having Reilly's old pregnancy journal, I found this site and thought it would be a great way to paste Reilly's information and keep up with Baby Darnell #2.  Plus, it will be a great way for me to keep everyone posted once I begin the fun of chasing after two stubborn children.

The Wait is Finally Over!!!
We are no longer waiting for Baby Darnell - we have brought Miss Reilly Keira Darnell home! What an experience, what a joy, what a miracle. Our adventure to get us here really began late Thursday night. I started having a few sporadic back contractions. Friday I hauled myself into work begrudgingly knowing I had so many projects out and was running out of time. The contractions continued throughout the work day but again was very sporadic; however it made me rethink and wish I had just stayed at home. I called my mom up Friday morning (who was working in South Carolina) and told her to go in, get what she had to get done, and bring herself home because I did not think we were going to make it through the weekend. I also called Daniel to have him call his boss as he was supposed to work on Saturday. When I left work I ran by Office Depot to pick up some supplies to do a quick project for Doug. I then met Daniel at B.J.’s to stock up on water, juice, etc. as we knew what was coming either this weekend or Wednesday. Contractions continued on but no pattern. We met mom and dad for dinner and after that my “cabbage feet” were swollen enough to warrant me going home to take a shower and rest. By the time I got out of the shower and had ice packs made for my feet the contractions started in the famous one minute long, every five minute pattern. As instructed we waited one hour, gathered our stuff, and met a very anxious grandma-to-be at the hospital. We were quite disappointed to hear that I was still only dilated to one cm. They told me that they were going to monitor me and that usually the contractions should increase the dilations one cm every hour to hour and a half and if that didn’t happen that they might send me home until things progressed further. Luckily things slowly progressed to where they officially admitted me. As I had decided to do my best not to have an epidural (which I was successful at), I quite welcomed the pain medication. They have told me that I was in labor officially for 9 hours (most of this time comes and goes from my memory as the pain medicine really only took the edge off the back contractions and made me sleep in between them, and I am sure I will continue to hear the funny stories of things I said and did during this time) and pushed for 20 minutes. Thankfully we had an amazing labor nurse who really made all of what I just said possible - Merrilyn - thanks! On Saturday, April 29, 2006, at 3:20 p.m. we welcomed Reilly Keira Darnell into the world. She is perfect! 7 lbs, 6 ounces - 19 ½ inches long - and a head full of hair . . . black hair?! We are thinking it will either lighten up or fall out and change all together. Of course it did not stop Daniel from asking who my boyfriend was. We were released Sunday afternoon to go home (thank goodness). While her weight seems the average weight we realized how tiny she was when we got home. The only clothes that fit her are premie clothes, but they do not fit her long legs! Daniel has affectionately nicknamed her our full term premie. My Mom, now Grandma, has been a life saver. While we have been waiting for my milk to come in things have been a little crazy at the house. My birthday came and went and we officially became a full family on the same day as we introduced Nala and Tank to Reilly. Tank is a bit scared of her - especially when she cries. He just looks at us like what is wrong with her. Nala is very motherly. She has been very gentle and Reilly has officially been given a Southern Baptism in that she has been kissed and slobbed all over by her big sister. Reilly is very alert, smiling, interestingly enough trying to lift her head, and just well, precious! She lets us know when she needs a diaper change and when she is hungry. Of course if we do not get something she wants done on her time frame she cries and if she gets real mad she will either hold her breath and turn bright red or she gets a cry that sounds like a donkey. We want to thank all those that came to the hospital and have been by the house to see our bundle (as to not put any emphasis on one person, we will just list them in order as they came): Aunt Kelly, Aunt Valerie (sorry I fell asleep while you were there and we did not get a picture of you with Reilly), Aunt Brandy and Uncle J.R. (again, sorry I was a little out of it when you came and we did not get a picture either), Uncle Doug, Uncle Rob - of course this list does not include my Mom (Grandma), Dad (Grandpa), and Nana (G.G.). Thanks to everybody for going on this past nine month roller coaster with us and sharing this amazing experience of Waiting for Baby Darnell. We loved her from the egg, to the tadpole, to the tad, to Miss Reilly, and now we are so excited to start our new journey as Reilly’s parents!

Our Stubborn Girl
Good news and bad news from the doctor: Bad news - I am still only 1 cm dilated (80% effaced though). Reilly is in the perfect position and like I have been telling everyone very low. In fact both Dr. James and Stacy were able to touch Reilly’s head. Dr. James feels that I should be able to go into labor on my own. However, he is going to give Reilly one more week to do it on her own before he takes matters into his own hands. Good news - no matter what by next Thursday, we will have our Reilly here! If Reilly does not come on her own, Dr. James has scheduled for us to check into the hospital next Wednesday night. I will get some medicine that night and Thursday morning Dr. James will come and break my water and induce Reilly to come. Of course I would much rather her come on her own, but it is kind of relaxing to know no matter what she will be here next Thursday at the latest! In a way it might be nice to stick to the check in plan. I can spend Wednesday making sure Nala and Tank are taken care of and safely at my parents and getting everything else just the way I want it before we bring Reilly home. (Plus, this way maybe she won't come on my birthday! However, I have decided that if she does come on my birthday then I am staying 26 forever!) So, we shall see. Either way - be looking for a call the end of next week at the latest!

Still No Reilly
Another weekend has come and gone. Along with that is our due date from the 4d ultrasound. Still no Reilly! We were optimistic that it would be yesterday with how the morning started. However, she held strong and is not coming out! While everyone (minus Uncle Doug) really wants Reilly to come out now - nothing seems to be working. Guess I will hang on and see what Dr. James says tomorrow. We still have time before the 40 weeks, but we just want to hold her . . . NOW!!!

Baby Watch Time
It’s official . . . we are on baby watch! I am now 1 cm dilated. Of course, I could stay at this for the next couple of weeks; however, it also means that if contractions want to start then it will be Reilly time! We are too excited!

That time of the week
I have my weekly appointment with the doctor this afternoon. I am just praying that something, anything at all has happened since last week. Again, I feel I must restate this . . . it is not that the pregnancy has been bad or I just want it over, it is simply that we have everything ready - we just need her! So, I’ll let you know what happens, keep your fingers crossed!!!

Not time yet for Miss Reilly
Good news: Reilly is in the perfect position for delivery. Bad news: I’m not effaced or dilated in the least! Now, this has been a really good pregnancy. However, it is starting to get hot out there and I have a feeling things are going to be real fun in the next few weeks if things don’t start changing! We always had a feeling that she would come before the 3rd, guess that might not happen! Oh well, she will come when she is ready. Daniel has been hit hard with the allergy bug so he did not make it to the appt. or Nagoya. Maybe next week! We will go back next Tuesday and see how things are developing.

Nursery Update
It’s finally done! The nursery is complete! We got the glider in on Friday and I got the curtain rods to put the curtains up on Saturday. Miss Reilly has herself quite a nice little nursery. There are a few things that I am considering hanging on the walls, but still debating. One is a for sure item that will go up (we got it in Hawaii and when we got it we both commented that it would be cute some day in a nursery), but I have yet to get it framed. It is our last name done in vibrant colors and designs. Had a bit of a rough night last night and again am glad that I will have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow afternoon. Just makes me feel better knowing we are here at the end. Daniel has tomorrow off again so we will be fortunate enough to get Nagoya again! Yummy!!!

Catching Up
I have had a pretty lax week and just did not get around to putting a post up. Everybody is on Spring Break which means Kelly and I have been able to take some time off work. It was especially nice considering Daniel had Tuesday and Wednesday off. So, I took those two days off as well. Back in for a full day today and then a half day on Friday. Good times! Monday night ended up not being such a great night. It started off fine and ended okay, but the middle, ouch! When I got home my feet were (of course) swollen. So, I decided to be a good pregnant Mary, lay down and prop my feet up while I waited for Daniel to come home. In coming back from the bathroom a short time later, I got cold chills that just ran through me and all of a sudden felt like I was fighting off the flu. I crawled back into bed and just laid there until Daniel got home. Luckily, Daniel took care of everything and got me back on my feet without any of those horrible symptoms. Next thing I know, again coming back from the bathroom, my stomach got rock hard. It was the weirdest feeling. Didn’t hurt, just looked and felt VERY weird. I even had to have Daniel look at it and feel it. Very funny. Didn’t think anything else about it because it went away shortly thereafter. Tuesday - it is certainly nice to have a day off in the middle of the week when you aren’t sick! Daniel and I got some shopping done for us, the dogs, and more for us. We were basically just killing time until the doctor’s appointment. The appointment, well, it was, hum, okay I guess. I did find out that the rock hard stomach was what we will not affectionately call my first contraction. I have to keep an eye on the other symptoms, but Dr. James just thinks that Reilly must have kicked or moved something out of the way that my body did not appreciate. I got my cultures done and I will not gross anyone out on this blog, but it was interesting for sure. We are now in the land of every week appointments. We enjoyed our Nagoya afterwards and then just chilled out back at the house. Wednesday was again another fun day. The dogs had a spa day at the vet’s office which meant we had to waste some more time until we could pick them up. Since I had a few more BH contractions at lunch, Daniel and I decided that those couple of items that I still needed to completely be packed for the hospital could not wait. We now have everything packed up! I don’t know for sure if she is going to come early, but we are not going to take any chances. So, back at work again. At least it is quiet and I will only have a half day tomorrow.

Baby Weekend!
Busy baby weekend. We had a newborn care class first thing Saturday morning followed by a class with a certified lactation consultant. It was sure an interesting experience (especially for Daniel who got to see on the video exactly what I have been trying to describe the first poo will be like)! Learned a lot in the lactation class and am not as nervous as I was before. We were luckily able to catch up with Rob Saturday night and introduced Reilly to one of mommy’s favorites . . . coconut shrimp from Outback. Delicious. She started to get a little fussy towards the end (the dipping sauce is a little sweet), but made it through okay. Sunday we had a lazy start and enjoyed some grilling out with Mom, Dad, and Nana (they were anxious to see the almost done nursery). While Daniel has always been a wiz at the grill, he has captured the art form of the perfect grilled burger and we have been enjoying those for the past few Sundays. It is funny, growing up my Mom and Dad had a Saturday night tradition of having hamburgers. Guess ours will be on Sunday afternoon! We then all ventured off to the hospital for a tour of the birth center. While I had been in the birth center dozens of times, they have built a new one and we wanted to make sure we knew where to go. For those that have been to the old birth center, you should check out the new one. It makes the old one look like crap! The rooms are very large (even includes a bed for Daniel to sleep on), and also has a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. All in all, we should be very comfy once Reilly is ready to come. Should be a slow week at work (which is always good because I always enjoy some time off). Since Daniel is off Tuesday and Wednesday, I am going to take Tuesday and attempt at least a half day on Wednesday. It will be nice for tomorrow since my dr. appt. is not going to be as fun as they have been (cultures tomorrow). And since Daniel does not have to work, we can slide back into our ritual we had for doctor appointments and follow it with Nagoya - yummy! Our glider got a little delayed in delivery; however, it should be here on Friday. The other valance and material to cover the tables should be in this week as well and with those few items in, the nursery will be complete! Minus a few little odds and ends, our bag is packed for the hospital and the car seats are going in this week as well to. While we still have some time, we are not taking any chances. I will go into week 36 this week and realistically she can come at any point from here on out. Daniel is getting a little itchy to hold her (as am I). I just feel bad for her because she has completely run out of room and she now gets really bad cases of hiccups in there. It is getting a little harder to breathe at times and sleeping is an adventure. Naps seem to be the key. If I get a nap at some point during the day or early evening, even if I have a rough night I wake up okay. So, I’ll let you know if anything new comes up tomorrow at the appointment.

Current Mood: Lunch time!

Nursery almost complete!
Daddy helped us get the two last furniture pieces Friday afternoon. While we were excited to get them up, we decided to wait until Sunday. We were pretty lazy for the most part of the weekend. Unfortunately, while I was waiting for them to bring the furniture up to the front of the store, I had a chance to look at all the new spring baby clothes they had put out. Therefore, Daniel and I had to head back up to Babies-R-Us Saturday evening to check out the new clothes (and of course buy many of them)! Sunday we put the dressers together (actually one of them all we had to do was take it out of the box and put the feet and handles on - the other one was only about 20 minutes worth of putting together). I think it took longer to put the contact paper in the drawers than putting the dressers together! The nursery is almost complete! Thanks to my mom and dad we have ordered the glider and ottoman and it should be here by the end of this week. The only thing left is the fabric that I ordered and since I had to make it a special order it could take another week or so to get in. All the clothes have now been put away in the room. I have to get the rest of the blankets, etc., put away in the room - but by the time we got the room together I did not want to keep the dogs outside anymore so in they came and I figure I will just finish the rest tonight. All in all we are really looking good for Miss Reilly to make her arrival. Daniel and I even bought a bunch of the “bathroom” miniatures for the hospital bag. I figure I will put the car seats in and pack the bag after the first of April, you know, just in case.

Current Mood: A little tired today.

Nursery and doctor appointment update
Got a message that the furniture is in. YEAH!! We will pick it up and hopefully get put together and up this weekend. After we get the rest of the furniture together all we have left to get is the glider (well, for those that know Daniel you understand that it is a glider/recliner/combo). The nursery will then be complete. Hopefully we can get that ordered in the next couple of weeks. Still in plenty of time for Miss Reilly! We are very excited, nervous, and every other emotion you can think of. My doctor’s appointment went well. It was funny because I got the nurse and doctor to argue over my weight. Dr. James (who I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this or not before, is highly sensitive to weight gain in pregnancies - some of you reading this know this first hand!) was overly excited that I lost a pound and my nurse Stacy (who is a very big advocate for breast feeding) was very upset about the loss because she said I have not gained enough weight to breast feed. Oh well, I figure I will go with the happiness of Dr. James because I figure if Reilly needs me to eat more for her to be able to eat then I will get hungry more. Until then, I am going to enjoy the fact that I am not becoming a balloon - though you would not know it from looking at my tummy this week - WOW - it is really out there! I go back on April the 4th for cultures and to take the last round of tests (Strep B, etc.). After that we are on for once a week check-ups (please read into this what you will - those that have had babies know what I am talking about). So, we are on track - week 34 and counting down!

Reilly's Nursery
The crib is put together and is beautiful! It went together much easier than feared and even Daniel helped (he usually does not help with the putting together of things because his temper is tested on these types of projects). The bedding came in last night and I washed all of it and got it on the crib as well. The room is looking more and more like a nursery every day. All the clothes are back on hangers and in Reilly’s closet. Everything is actually in her room minus the folding clothes as we need the changing table/dresser and armoire to come in. Hopefully it will be here by the first part of next week (and hopefully it will go together as painlessly as the crib did). The dogs are really confused right now, but I am hopeful that with the way that we are doing their moving around that by the time Reilly comes, they will not put any negative associations on the fact that they got kicked out of their room for her. It will of course help that she will not be sleeping in there right away. I have started Reilly’s scrapbook (shocking I know) and we are really excited and waiting for our little girl! We can’t help ourselves from peeking into the room even though we know she is not in there. I have an appointment today, but it is just another one of the mommy belly check-ups. Reilly has been very active here lately as she is very much running out of room in there. Daniel has been able to feel her more lately as well. What an experience!

Laundry
Okay, so I have started the fun task of laundry for Miss Reilly’s things. For those of you that know, you can fit a lot of baby clothes into one load. Therefore, I must inform you all (as many of these items came from many of you) that I have 3 loads of pinks, one load of semi to all whites, one load of yellows, and two loads of combined colors of purple, green, and blues. Let me rephrase that first one - 3 LOADS OF PINKS!!! I know she is a girl, but goodness! Anyway, thanks again to everyone. Just wanted to keep you all updated! (However, it is a lot of fun to wash them all - can’t wait for her to get here to be able to see her wearing them!)

Another fast weekend
Wow, seems like the weekends are getting shorter and shorter . . . (you know how it goes!). This weekend was no exception. It started with Friday. I did not get home from work until 8:13. (See, I told you all I would go into labor at work - where else would I be!) Saturday was a very full day! Before our normal day began we were able to pick up the Jeep (she has been in the shop and very sick)! That put us in much better spirits! After catching up with Mom and Nana and grocery shopping we headed home in thoughts to just relax and possibly take a nap before the evening started. WRONG!! The bassinet had been delivered Friday evening, but thanks to my late night I did not feel like putting it together when I got home from work. So, after doing a few things around the house, I started putting it together then. It went together pretty quickly. I looked at the clock and it was 5:50 so I just laid down on the bed thinking I had plenty of time to take a quick nap. Please note at this point that we had another baby shower at Doug’s house (Stone Mountain) that began at 7:00. Oops!! We both got up, got ready very quickly, and headed off. Luckily, no traffic or problems and we made it on time. What a great night! Doug and Kathy hosted a truly wonderful shower with all the partners, their spouses/significant others, Cliff (+Pam), Marc, Angela, Mary, Ginny, Jennifer, Mom, Dad, Nana, and of course the ring leader Aunt Kelly! As if we were not blessed enough from our first shower, more presents just poured in including . . . Reilly’s crib! That’s right, the partners and Aunt Kelly went in together and got Miss Reilly her crib and mattress. As if we did not know how special she was or how loved she is going to be, can I just say, WOW, is she one lucky girl! Can you imagine not only having such a wonderful loving family but having such a large extended family, goodness!!! So, that kick started Sunday. I got all the blankets, clothes, etc., de-tagged and ready for washing this week. Daniel and I did some MAJOR spring cleaning. We figured next weekend we will tackle the project of putting together the crib. Hopefully, we will be able to get the two other pieces delivered soon and that just leaves putting things in their respective places. We are on track now for sure for Miss Reilly. The rest of Sunday was just lazy. James came by with Julian and his new girlfriend. So, whew, like I said, full weekend but somehow just seems so short as it is already Monday! Not much brewing for this week other than getting the dogs prepared to move to their new room. We have moved them half way there and we are just trying to make it a gradual change for them. The final move should be complete this weekend so it will be in plenty of time before Reilly comes so that they do not think they had to move because of her. Look at us, all this work for two dogs that probably could care less! They are just excited we come home everyday! Oh well, they are our first babies so we are just trying to make small transitions for them before the big one arrives. Other than that, not much!

Current Mood: Monday, but that's okay!

Whew, what a weekend and beginning to the week
So, I apologize for not getting this out right away. The weekend was very busy and this week has just flown by! The weekend though busy was absolutely great! We got to see Miss Reilly Saturday morning at the 3d/4d ultrasound. Boy is she going to have some chubby cheeks. Can’t imagine how on earth she could have gotten those! She at the present moment is 4 pounds/2 ounces. If she is to go to the full 40 weeks she will be approximately 8 pounds. So, a healthy baby girl. (And yes, it is still confirmed a girl!) We had a great time at Uncle Rob’s house watching the fight Saturday night. Sunday we had the baby shower and most of those that are actually reading this most likely was there. We had a great time and got a lot of really nice things for Reilly (as in our entire guest bedroom is covered and piled high - is there anything at all pink left in the state of Georgia?). She is going to be one spoiled baby! Of course the shower would not at all been possible without my family (including my mom and her broke ankle bone, my daddy, and of course nana/g.g.), Aunt Kelly, Aunt Brandy, Aunt Jenny, Pat (the food, oh the food), Jean (that cake was even more precious than our wedding cake), of course those that always seem to be there to help such as Uncle Rob, Ann, Uncle Tommy and Aunt Vicki, Mrs. Ruth, etc. Thanks again to everyone for coming (especially those that had a bit of a drive) and for all the really wonderful gifts!

Big Weekend!
We have a big weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow we start off with the 3d/4d ultrasound. It will be Daniel, Mom, Dad, Nana, and myself. We are very excited to see what Miss Reilly looks like now! We then have Miss Abby's birthday party to go to and later in the evening we have a fight at Uncle Rob's. Sunday is, of course, the shower - excuse me - party. Mom has broken her ankle bone so that should make for some fun during the party. So, hopefully most of you I will see on Sunday - to the others - too bad. (Just kidding!) P.S. For those keeping count, the swelling legs and feet is a daily adventure and the hot flashes have creeped into the day time as well.

One more doctor visit down!
We went to the doctor yesterday. Pretty uneventful. We heard Reilly's heartbeat, but that was about it. Just a check-up for mommy. We have been going once a month for these. Now we will have two appointments at two week long periods and then go to once a week appointments until Reilly makes her appearance. So, next appointment is March 7th. Dr. James said unless we think there is anything wrong we most likely will not have anymore ultrasounds. Luckily, we are going soon to the 3d/4d one as we can't wait to see her again! Everything else is well. We are trying very hard to contain our shopping splurges until after the showers, but it is VERY hard!

Presents, we love presents!
So, the baby presents are starting to roll in. Reminds me of the wedding. I would be so excited to come home and see what was at the door! My Uncle Tommy and Aunt Vicky came in town this weekend and to our surprise got us our stroller and car seat that we registered for. Then yesterday one of my best guy friends John sent *more* stuff over. He had already sent the diaper bag that matches the set and the cutest robe that Daniel picked out that will basically make Miss Reilly look like a flower head. Since he wanted to make sure Daniel got some stuff too, he sent the diaper bag that Daniel picked (gee, those that have looked could you guess that it was the pink camoflauge diaper bag), the Jeep stroller, and some other miscellaneous decorative things. I tacked the job of putting both strollers and car seat together last night. All are absolutely perfect! We spent some time trying to picture what our little girl would look like in them. Can't wait to see her! So, just moving along. Reilly has been very active this week and it is still the weirdest thing to see something stick out of your stomach. We are very much looking forward to the shower and are excited each time mom tells us who has called to say they are coming! Do not have a lot planned this weekend. Doctor's appointment next Tuesday (just a check up).

No new pictures or Reilly stories, but another doctor's appointment down
Went to get my rhogam shot yesterday. Now, it was no problem getting the blood drawn (Stacy was back!), but really, a shot in my hip! I guess it is better than the behind. It wasn't too bad, burned a little, and is a little sensitive today. Will most likely get another one of them after Reilly is born, but we will just not think about it for now. I scheduled the 3d/4d appointment for 3/4 at 12:00. We are very excited and can't wait to see our little bundle - wait, our getting bigger, more aggressive kicking bundle! I plan on having the pictures printed that night so that I will have them at the "party" mom is throwing the next day! P.S. It is pretty clear that all I did was pull the ligament (not damage it) and it is feeling MUCH better!

Rough week and it is only Wednesday
Don't panic - everything is great with Miss Reilly. Over the weekend it appears that I pulled (hopefully did not damage) my round ligament. I did it on Saturday afternoon, took a nap, woke up and it was fine. However, I reaggravated it again on Sunday and have not been able to shake it. The pain does appear to be easing up so I am very hopeful that I did not damage it. I have not put anything in the journal about this until I realized last night that Daniel was telling everyone I had a groin injury?! Oh well. Unfortunately, if I did damage it there is nothing that can be done and it will simply go away after Reilly comes. {Fun thought} But, I do really think it is just pulled and should be back up to normal here soon. Reilly has been much more active and you can now see her movements from the outside. She is not quite able to kick things off my stomach; howev
