We are moving out!!!

Sorry it has been so long since we have posted a blog, but our new and exciting computer got ruined in a thunder storm a few weeks ago and I don't have good access to a computer. So it's true, we are really moving out of my mom and dad's house for the first time! Everyonei s really excited, except my mom and dad because they are really going to miss the kids. We will let them babysit whenever they want! I am a little nervous about moving, I have never really lived away from my parents before. For the first four months our budget is thistight, and we have no money to spend on anything, not even things we need for the appartment. We have a meeting with this lady on Thursday morning about some work that we can do from our house on the computer so that extramoney will help a lot, IF it works out. Now all we need is a computer! Skip is trying to fix the one he gave us but it's not a sure thing that he can. The kids are going to share a room when we move out so my parents bought a trundle bed and we are going to pay them back with the settlement money we get from State Farm from the accident that I was in in April 2005. They help us out a lot, I don't know what we would do without them. Kayla went to go visit with her daddy Shane today, she just got home in time to snuggle with Hunter in bed. The two are doing very good at night sleeping in the same bed. We decided it was good to let them practice before we move so that they didn't have to learn in a new envoronment. That would be a bit scary for them I'm sure.

Hunter is talking so much now. I want to make a list of all the words he can say. I did this on paper for Kayla when she was his age, but I lost it so I thought this is a great place to do  it so I will have it forever.

Mama, dada, daddy, Kayla, Milk, Juice, eat, more, up, please, tool, eye, teeth, ball, uhoh, school, pool, NO, nite-nite, LaLa, vaccume, Nunu, quack, moo, meow, cat, balloon, ice, ice cream, binky, snack (this means fruit snack), buggy, Natelie, Jewelia, hi, bye, hello, out

I know that there is more but I will have to wait until Beau is here with me to help me remember them all. Hunter does a lot of cute things now like helps put the laundry away and helps scrub the clothes. He still has a bad temper though, that is just his genetics not our parenting, Kayla turned out very peaceful! We just found out what teacher Kayla will have for 1st grade, Miss Bartell. She said tha she is really nice but she didn't want to have her because the other teacher plays games in the morning and Miss Bartell makes the children read. I told her that the other teacher makes her class read too just not first thing in the morning. She was alright with that explination. I feel badly for her because she didn't get any of her good friends in her class. There are some girls that she is friends with in her class, but none of her three closest friends are with her. She didn't seem upset about it though, at least not yet. Well I have homework to do so I have to go for today but I will write again soon I promise. By next week I hope to have pics. of our new appartment on the site so everyone can see it!

Our first blog ever!

Well our family decided it was time to get out tof the dark ages and get a computer. So two months ago Skip (Beau's dad) gave us one that he had. Now that Laura and Chris have showed us how to use the Baby Journal we will start to post news about our family on this site. I know it's called the baby journal but it's neat to write about the whole family. Today, as usual for this week, I did homework all day and and went to school When I got home Kayla didn't want to leave her grandmother. This was not the happy "welcome home" I had expected. She was okay after a little crying (I wish I could say the same for my dad, but i can't). The three of us snuggled on the couch and watched the Disney channel for a few minutes then went upstairs to get ready for bed. Hunter wanted to give Kayla kisses tonight so he ran up to her going "mmmmma". This is his kissing noise. Kayla read half of the book The Curious Little Kitten all by herself. She sould have read the whole thing but as usual I had homework to do so we had to cut it short. I like to ask her reading comprehension qusetions about the books she reads to me. Sometimes I wonder if it takes her so long to read one sentance if she even remembers what she read. she always does very well with all the questions and seems to have a very mature understanding of the meaning of the stories. She was able to retell me in her own words and in the correct order where the kitten went on his exploration of the house. She and Hunter both had a sleepover in our bed tonight they stayed up till 8:15 so they went out quickly.
