Oregon Coast in May

I got away.  No kids, just me, a boyfriend, friends, a tent, and a beach.

I feel GREAT!  Despite the fact that it rained on us all weekend, and the sun poked through only as we left on our drive up home, the ocean was so healing.   The waves were incredible, and it was interesting watching the surfers in the rain, or ya, and the drunk guy that went swimming in the ocean at 10pm on nothing but shorts.  EEEEEEEEK!

So, got soaked, tent leaked, still drying everything out, but I'm well rested and happy - here's the pics!

I'm glad to see things are going in a good direction for you now.  Love the Oregon Coast pictures, we just put some up too.

OK, OK, here's some updates!

So I haven't really been online much at all this past month.  First we had holidays, and now I'm working my way through starting up a new business.  LOTS of work.

First, our holidays.  We went to Vancouver Island for a 3 days getaway and stayed at a wonderful little house!  It was right near this gorgeous beahc in Parksville.  The kids had so much fun, but Marcus ended up getting sick partway through the trip.

Here's a few pics!

Finally, an update!

I know it's been quite a while, but I have lots of pictures as peace offerings, so don't shoot!

Whew, the days have been flying by.  We sold our business which is taking up a lot of my time, and I should actually be working on stuff for the transfer right now, but I am taking the time out for all my readers!

Marcus has had an exciting time.  We went to the zoo last weekend again and we spent 5 long exhausting hours chasing him around the zoo, snapping pictures, and pausing just long enough to catch our breath beforehe was off and running again.  There are lots of pictures in the gallery for today.  We walked the circuit twice, took the train once (boy was Marcus ever happy about that!  see the grin in the train pictures) and took the bike around once.  And this time we didn't have a runaway adventure with the bike!!

Emmaline seems to be calmed down a bit, napping consistently, and sleeping much better after our recent sleep training.  I can now get her to bed within 30 minutes instead of 4 hours at bedtime!  This means much more sleep for me.  Some nights she will sleep through, but most we get up once between 3-5am for a feed, but right back to sleep.  I cannot tell you how happy she is now that she's sleeping more!

Marcus is starting...preschool!!!  I was able to register him for the 3 year old class because he does turn three before the year end, and he's potty trained.  I knew that the potty training would come in handy! haha  I will now have 2 mornings a week with just little Emmy.  Oh how wonderful this is going to be!  2 more weeks!

OK, on to the pictures, there are lots and lots of new ones in this album.

Kids Carnival

Last weekend I took Marcus and Emmy out to a small Kids Carnival.  Marcus had SO much fun trying to complete all the older kids games.  He was racing around from one station to the next looking at the numbers on the stations.  Number 4 mom! Look Mom!  Number 5!  He had his first taste of cotton candy too.  Here are some pictures from the outing.
