You really need to hear these little piglets sleep. They make some crazy noises. We hope to get some sounds recorded soon.

Cash Babies
Chris says that there is an old tale that if you have your picture taken with money when you are young, you will grow up to be prosperous. According to that tale, these girls will be just that.

First Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
We stayed at Uncle Matt's for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. On Christmas Eve Nonna, Uncle Matt, Chris, and I went to visit Abby and Zoë in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. (NICU) They each hat little red hats on, tied with Christmas tree ribbon. Abby's had a number 1 on it and Zoë's had a number 2. Christmas day Chris and I went in for a visit with the girls. Auntie Reanna, Uncle Corey, Grandma Cindy, and Cousin Patrick met us there and took turns coming in to see the little beauties.

Delivery Time
After Abby was out, and her cord was cut, she started crying and crying right away. They took her immediately to the incubator. After Zoë was out, they took her right to her incubator as well. I didn't hear her cry until a couple of seconds after they had her... it seemed like minutes, but she was healthy and breathing on her own as well. Abby is 3 pounds 10 ounces, 16 inches long and Zoë is 3 pounds 9 ounces, 16 inches long. Their apgar scores were both great! An eight out of 10.

C-Section
It was a very scary thing getting ready for the C-section. It took a little bit longer for the epidural to kick in than usual, but after that all that I felt was pressure. Chris was amazed that I couldn't feel what they were doing. He was able to bring the digital camera in and take many pictures. We invite anyone that would like to, to view them. We will warn you that they are graphic. When I saw them, saw the babies being pulled out, I was awestruck! If you would like to see them, click here.

First Stance in Months
The Doctors had started to be concerned with me getting blood clots since I'd been laying for so long. I had some simple leg exercises to do , and then they started giving me heparin shots... two times a day! I came to dread them and I had bruises all over. They decided that I was far enough along to be able to start taking a few steps a day. So they brought in a "bedside commode" for me to use 3 times a day. The first time I sat up felt so weird. I hadn't had a chance to slowly get used to the weight on me and all of the sudden there it all was. Then, when I stood (with almost all of my weight on Chris) it felt like I was standing on my bones. I got pretty dizzy as well.

Trapeez Installed
It was getting harder and harder for me to turn from side to side with all of the belly weight on me. The nurses decided that it was time for me to have a "trapeze" installed onto my bed. The handle looked like that on a ski boat to me, so we had some fun with it.

Roof leak, pumpkins, and Bolivianos
We have three different groups of pictures in this Album. The first is Chris out on the roof checking out where the leak is coming from. We wanted to fix any leaks and get prepared for these babies. He attached his climbing rope to the banister in the hallway, hooked himself up to it, and went out the bathroom window... I made him wear his helmet. The second group is of our pumpkin adventure. Even though it is early in the month, Wal-Mart had huge pumpkins for little amount of money. So we bought one and brought it home to bake seeds and make pumpkin soup. Fun times! The third group is of the hats and a coin that Chris' dad got for us while he was in Bolivia. So funny.

Quincy Quarry Climb
We spent this weekend at Matt's in Quincy. We took advantage of the warm weather and went rock climbing. I was really scared to go over the top and rappel down, but Chris guided me. After we got to the bottom and got all hooked up to belay each other, I was a little less nervous since I've done that part a couple of times before. We had a great day out in the sunshine!
