A September Visit From Uncle Matt
It's been a little while since we've seen Uncle Matt. Despite this, it didn't take Abby and Zoë long to run to him and want his full attention constantly. There were princess tea parties had, stories read (a new one that Caitlin picked up for the girls about a porcupine named fluffy, since it reminded her of the porcupine we encountered during our camping trip in VT), board games and card games played, and lots of other pestering, I mean playing going on. Abby and Zoë were bummed when Uncle Matt started getting ready to go after dinner, and kept informing him that we have a guest bed now in their room. They did get him to stay past his intended leave time, but their initial efforts to get him to stay overnight were in vain. They got over it quickly enough... by having me read their new book a few more dozen times.
