Just Us Girls
From about 10:00 this morning the girls and I have had the house to ourselves... unheard of around here. Daddy went to help Uncle Corey with a bathroom remodeling project he's doing, so Abby, Zoë and myself worked on our own projects around the house. The first thing we did was plant a spruce seedling. We went out on the porch with a medium sized planter that had been in the basement and dug in the dirt to loosen it, then poured some water in and after I put the seedling in, Abby and Zoë put some more water over the soil. After this we had a nice shower with some pecan pie scented bath soap, which the girls call cinnamon bun soap, before having lunch and a nap. While Abby and Zoë were napping, I took the opportunity to get some cleaning done... mostly just junk removal. When the girls got up from nap, Daddy still wasn't home yet, so I started on a little project of making them a pretend play stove. I had to stop to get dinner going, which Abby helped pick out. Finally, as the girls and I were emptying our bowls of our spaghetti with pesto, Daddy pulled in the driveway. Abby and Zoë gave him hugs and kisses and told him how much they'd missed him.
