I'm so happy to hear you are both doing well. Mom and Dad said you were both very brave. Now you can put back in your earrings and eat plenty of ice-cream. Love you.

Today's the Day

Well, here I am alone in a quiet house with everyone else sleeping.  In less than an hour I will wake Abby and Zoë up and get them dressed and try to get them into the car without much chaos.  They both know that they can't have anything to eat or drink and that they will get something after their surgery... that being said, I'm not sure how they'll be once they actually have to go without.

Mommy is nervous, Mommy feels like crying... or getting sick, whichever comes first.  It's not that I fear something will go wrong, those thoughts have been pushed firmly down and packed well, I have faith that everything is going to go smoothly and the girls will recover just fine.  It's all of the in between, all of the getting things right and being a yo-yo between my two little girls, and those little things that are still unknown.  Those are the things that have my stomach in knots.  However, when I get Abby and Zoë up I have to remind them how much of an adventure this is all going to be, be cheery and excited for them, and I am, sort of, a little bit.

So I thought I'd take this time to write, that one day Abby and Zoë will read this and know that their Mommy was up early in the morning on that fateful day when they separated from their tonsils,  fretting for her two little ladies and just trying to calm her nerves before things really got underway.

Abby @ 3 years, 9 months, 11 days
Zoë @ 3 years, 9 months, 11 days
Enzo expected in 11 months, 28 days
