Recovery Day Seven

Zoë finally felt like going out of the house today.  Yesterday, when Abby and I went for our walk, Zoë didn't feel like going.  Today though, Zoë was ready to go on an errand with me.  First, I stopped to get the mail at the post office and Zoë was glad she'd come along because she and Abby had both received 'get well soon' cards from Melvin and Dee.  She was very excited when she opened the card and saw a $5 bill and put it quickly into her fishy purse, which she'd brought along.

Next we went to the health food store, where Zoë picked out a carob peanut butter cup that she wanted to get with her own money.  I could see how "big" and important she felt to be buying her own treat.  It was really cute, when I was getting my items, she was already getting into her purse and getting ready.

When we got back to the house, Abby was watching Cinderella, and Zoë happily joined her.  Then Abby got to get the other little treats I picked up, carob spirulina chunks, and I had to remind Zoë inconspicuously about why she wasn't getting any.  Abby liked her cute card as well, and also had me put her money right into her purse, both girls carried their cards around all afternoon.
