Back into the Swing of School Lessons
With a long hiatus from our lessons, we eased back into things this morning. Unfortunately, even though I prepped the activity for it, we didn't do this afternoon's math game/lesson as we spent some time at the library instead. This morning we did a "make a rhyme" activity with the 'Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear' rhyme and then we got out our picture cards to do a 'which one doesn't belong' kind of thing with the beginning sounds of pictures. With three pictures in each row they had to pick out which one didn't belong and why. (i.e. the fan didn't go with the nine and the nest because these two started with an 'nnnn' sound and the other started with a 'ffff' sound.) Abby and Zoë were pretty good at this game and as I was putting the picture cards away, they spotted "Sound Puppet" in the folder and wanted him to come out and say hello.
I had an art and math activity planned, but as I said, we didn't get to that today so I'll try and make those up tomorrow... Ah, the beauty of preschool at home.
Abby @ 3 years, 9 months, 25 days
Zoë @ 3 years, 9 months, 25 days
Enzo expected in 11 months, 15 days
