Staggering Bed Times
We decided to try something new with bed times. Partially because of the difficulty Abby and Zoe have been having calming down after lights out, partially to give them time away from each other and one on one with us. The first night was last night, Zoe's turn for "up time". After teeth were brushed and pj's were on, Abby and I went into her room, while Zoe went downstairs. I read Abby her extra story and bible story, we said prayers and then the lullaby. I went back down to read to Zoe and do puzzles. There was a lot of crying from Abby, I ended up going back up to sit with her while Zoe finished up her time downstairs.
Tonight went smoother. Zoe went in to bed and we did the routine and I stayed with her for a little bit while Abby had some "Daddy time" then I went back downstairs. Zoe kept quiet and both girls went to sleep alright. I think they are liking this new arrangement, though they must make sure that they give each other hugs and kisses and say goodnight to each other or we have to interrupt everything to do it later.
