Good-Bye Sippy Cups
It's official... I threw out the sippy cups today. (Alright, there are still a few in the cupboard, but those are for when we have younger guests visit) The lids of the "take-n-toss" snow white cups we got in Oregon were definitely in need of a 'toss' and I couldn't see buying more at this stage. (The girls used them for their morning prune juice and also soy milk) Also, the neat cups that cousin Nikki gave us in Avella, though not technically 'sippy' cups, they still had a spout that snapped shut, were getting to be a real pain to keep the lids really fungus free. So, this morning I decided, that's it... no more. We'll take their mini nalgene's (thanks for those Auntie Reanna, they're finally going to get some good use) when we are out and about - nice and normal hard plastic bottles to be easily cleaned - and just use regular cups at home all the time instead of just some of the time.
Some of you may be thinking, "It's about time, they're almost 4!", but those of you who know me well will understand the accomplishment. I've always been a big fan of keeping down the messes, especially with Zoë the mini-tornado. (I mean that as a term of endearment, I really do) Keep on the look-out for "Good-Bye Bibs" to be coming as soon as I can muster up the final stage of phasing them out.
