Birthday Preparations

We had some errands to run before we did our Wal-Mart shopping, first stop being the post office.  Abby and Zoë received a package from Great Grandma Ehlers.  When I got in the car with it, Zoë asked, "Is that for us?!"  and when I said that it was she said, "Let's open it NOW!"  I put the package in between Abby and Zoë's seats, and Zoë held onto it for the entire ride, even after she fell asleep on the car ride, she slept with her arm draped over it.  Abby and Zoë both fell asleep at the same time on the ride, and probably got about 20 minutes worth of rest.  They were both cranky when Chris and I got them out of the car at Wal-Mart, but cheered up when I got out the snack I'd brought along.  Abby and Zoë were also excited because we were buying party supplies, always a fun thing.  We got the little helium tank to blow up balloons, got some strawberry cake mix, frosting, and some other party items.  When we were passing the bakery to go to the check-out, we decided to just check out the cake book.  We saw a few different options for Strawberry Shortcake cakes, and asked the baker about prices.  There was a cute sheet cake that could be customized for under $20, so now we're debating on which would be the better choice.  The thought of Strawberry Shortcake on a pretty cake was exciting to the girls, and it would mean no work for us, but we like the idea of individual home made cupcakes as well.  We shall see.

Abby @ 3 years, 11 months, 21 days
Zoë @ 3 years, 11 months, 21 days
Enzo expected in 9 months, 19 days
