Special Treats with Grampy
This afternoon Abby, Zoë, and I met Reanna and Grampy at Toys 'R Us. Abby and Zoë's job was to walk around the store and rank the things they liked and tell Grampy and Reanna what they'd like to have. After we explained that the whole store wasn't an option, we were on our way. I showed them the aisle with the neat play-doh food maker thing and the writing boards, which Abby and Zoë had liked when we were here before, and also that Daddy and I knew they'd get lots of use out of... but on we went. Abby and Zoë, knowing they were here to pick out birthday presents, were just going crazy with wanting to check everything out. There were a good handfull of things that they really liked and kept asking to be able to bring home, most of which Mommy dreaded the thought of (thinking ahead to clean-up at home) Abby was really set on this dress up kit, total one track mind, getting crazy over the thing, but she wouldn't have been able to use a lot fo the stuff in it. Grampy let it be known that the play kitchen the girls adored were a choice, and Zoë had her sights on one. She was hugging the picture on the box and trying to practically put the thing in the cart herself. Luckily it was one of the smaller kitchen sets (and least expensive) and so in the end Grampy got the girls the play kitchen and Auntie Reanna got them a full sized 'doodle pro'. I took Abby and Zoë to get in the car while they checked out, and then we met them over at Dunkin Donuts. Abby and Zoë each got to choose their own full sized donut (they always only get munckins) and they were so excited to finally get this chance, thanks to Grampy. After all of this spoiling, we went back to the house and made loaded baked potatoes for dinner. Thanks Grampy and Auntie Reanna!
