Great Park Pursuit - Greenfield State Park
Today was the second of 5 Great Park Pursuit visits. We arrived later than we had intended, slightly after 12:45. The registration closes at 1:30 so we just barely had time to hit each event. This visit was to learn from the Fish and Game department about the waterway and the fish entitled, Let's Go Fishing. They gave us a Passport to Fun to collect the 5 stamps. The girls got to look at bugs and fish and even learn how to cast a fishing rod. I was surprised at how well Abby and Zoë did. They are naturals and could cast fairly far. We learned about many different types of fish and also how to tie the improved clinch knot. The girls did a great job and after the five different learning sessions, we bought some cool drinks and headed the the beach area. Abby and Zoë swam at the day use beach area while Enzo and I used the great playground. Enzo enjoyed the swing and the slide. We stopped for ice cream on the way home, and the lady made a mistake with Abby and Zoë's cones, black raspberry and mint chip respectively. They were supposed to be kiddy sized wafer cones but instead got huge waffle cones instead. The girls were happy with the mistake and that amount of ice cream.
Abby @ 5 years, 6 months, 12 days
Zoë @ 5 years, 6 months, 12 days
Enzo @ 9 months, 3 days
